Hello Dear Member of TAAM,
I am writing to let you know that Festival of Nations is around the corner. This year we are going to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Festival and we are so excited to have a chance to represent Turkey in “Café”, “Exhibit” and “Folk Dance”. As you know, this can only be done with your help, we need volunteers…
Cooking:
We will be cooking at Caspian Bistro in Minneapolis: 2418 University Ave SE
Minneapolis, MN 55414 on April 30th and we will start at 9:30 am till is all done. Our Menu this year going to be:
Kofte, Bulgur pilavi, lahmacun, borek, baklava, piyaz, kahve, elma cayi, lokum, ve mozaik pasta.
We are hoping to see you at the cooking; while we work together we can catch up with recent activities as well. Bring your own head scarf and apron…
Exhibit:
This year’s subject is “Ethnic Celebrations” , Esra Riggs is leading this effort and she has chosen 23 Nisan as her focus. She has prepared a lot of props and ready to get another award for TAAM with all of your help.
Folk Dance:
Nese Yurttas and Figen Haugen have been leading this effort and with many volunteers they prepared a potpourri from different parts of Turkey. Team worked very hard and it is a must see show while you are at the Festival.
Sign up as volunteer:
First time we are going to try to use e mail for volunteer signup sheet. Pretty soon you will receive another e-mail from me or TAAM to guide you how to that. Basically you need to create a simple account and follow the instruction on the site called “sign up genius”.
Volunteer tickets:
I have enough volunteer tickets for everyone, when you complete the signup I will be happy to mail them you.
