For 2012, Minnesota International Center (MIC, http://www.micglobe.org/) has chosen Turkey as the country of celebration. Throughout the year, MIC will be hosting several functions bringing awareness to Turkish culture, business and history.
The highlight of the year will be the annual Gala in June 2012. This is the annual fundraising event for MIC.
In addition, MIC has already hostedn Turkish Consulate Fatih Yildiz and his wife, who graciously spoke about economic interests and growth opportunities between Minnesota and Turkey. Representatives from Keith Ellison and Amy Klobushar also spoke at the event.
