We had a successful festival. It was well attended both at the Turkish booth and throughout. We would like to thank all of those who helped prepare food, dance at the event, educate fellow Minnesotans on everything from Safranbolu to the art of drinking Turkish coffee.
A special congratulations to Esra Riggs for winning the top prize at the cultural exhibition for her display on the beautiful town of Safranbolu. Her photographs, authentic clothing and literature painted a rich portrait of the Black Sea coast town’s history and scenic beauty.
